Exploiting Loopholes

Abusing unintended mechanics or rule loopholes is punishable.

• If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask a staff member before doing it.

Vehicles & Boats

Vehicles and boats are unstable by nature and are used entirely at your own risk.

• No compensation will be provided for lost vehicles, boats, or any loot stored in them
• Vehicles are not covered by griefing rules

Recording Gameplay

Players are strongly encouraged to record their gameplay. Tools such as NVIDIA ShadowPlay or Windows Game Bar can capture the last 5–20 minutes. While playing or participating in raids, it is strongly recommended to record your gameplay to prevent misunderstandings or false accusations.

You can use any recording software you prefer. Some free options include: Insights Capture, OBS Studio, NVIDIA ShadowPlay, AMD Radeon ReLive, Action!, Medal.tv, Outplayed, or FBX Game Recorder.

• Video evidence is required for any compensation request
• Video footage is extremely helpful when reporting rule breakers or cheaters
• If you are accused of a rule violation, your own recording may help prove your innocence
• Deaths caused by bugs, griefing, or unusual behavior must be supported by video or other clear proof of what occurred and what you had at the time

Griefing rules

It is strictly forbidden to intentionally destroy loot, including shooting it, damaging it, or throwing it into water to prevent other players from picking it up. This rule does not apply to vehicles.

Loot Cycling

Loot cycling is strictly prohibited, especially at military locations. This includes intentionally removing and discarding loot to repeatedly force new items to spawn.

Compensation Policy

• Compensation requests require video proof
• Only unusual or abnormal bugs may be considered
• No compensation will be given for:
  – Server restarts
  – Vehicle or boat issues
  – Known DayZ bugs
• Compensation decisions are made at admin discretion

Remember: this is DayZ. Loss is part of the experience. You will die, lose gear, and start over. When things go wrong, staying calm and moving forward is always the best option.
